Harry potter - post
I just took a short look backwards in my journal, and realized that I've talked too much about how sorry I feel for myself. So now I give you a post about something completely different:
My absolute above all others favourite professor Iver B. Neumann has just published his new book: "Harry Potter and international politics", a book about how literature, tv shows and movies change the way we precieve the world around us, but largely focusing on Harry Potter. Did I mention that this is the guy who will be helping me with my Masters degree? (Or, the professor who's arm I will twist until he agrees again even though I took a year off) I love that guy! I so wish I could go out and get that book tomorrow! Next week I'll so buy it! *squee*
1. What's your favorite drink to make?
Gin & Tonic OR martine's batch of the day (made from what we have, when we have it)
2. What's your favorite drink to order at a bar?
If I want to get drunk quickly --> purple nipples (it's the yummiest shot in the world)
Almost all other times --> Beer
3. What drinks turn your stomach?
Tequila. Can't do it. The world is divided into the people who can drink Tequila (virgins) and the people who's had enough bad experiences with it to get that "I'm about to throw up"-feeling by the smell (good old drunks like me)
4. What do you keep stocked in your liquor cabinet?
Um, right now, I have a small amount of Cuban rum. Usually I have a couple of single malts as well...Oh, and I have red wine, but that don't count as something to go in a liqour cabinet right?
5. Shaken or stirred?
I'm not particular. I prefere them free, then they can be any kind! ;)
6. Do you know what a Gimlet is?
Yes
7. Do you know the secret ingredient to a good Margarita?
There's such a thing as a good Margarita? Well, it certainly isn't the tequila. chesire_monkey said and I agree with her
8. What was the first drink you ever had and how old were you?
beer, on friends of my family's boat. Someone left their bottle, and I tried to drink it all. I was about 5. And I've yet to loose my taste for it. Beer, so yummy!
9. Are you familiar with the porcelain god?
Everyone is familiar with her...
10. What's your best drinking story?
That, I will not tell in an open post. And I don't want to friends lock this post since it is about my dear Iver Neumann. So you'll just have to ask me in person...
