Ta daaaa (Or, Hey look, a happy entry)

So, the fates have bestowed upon everyone good fortune as a result of me switching to a new job. First of all, I had an interview this morning, which was set up last night, and interestingly enough

1) This was the only day they could do it this week.
2) This is one of only two times where an event has been in the evening, late enough that I got to come into work at noon. This was scheduled exactly 1 hour before they called for my interview.

Second of all, the people who are (95% sure) hiring me (Lakewood Elementary) for a one-on-one job with an Autistic child
1) Couldn't find anyone qualified enough before me
2) Have their student starting on the first day I'm completely available
3) JUST got approval for the job to include benefits.

Third of all, the company I'm leaving
1) Has about 7 people interviewing, 1 of which
2) Is a former employee, and needs no training.

I really think, considering the amount of absolute fate is involved here, that I'm doing the right thing. Also, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Spring Break, and Summer Vacations. I won't be earning a whole lot of money during the summer -- time to save like a madman -- but hopefully by then I will have sold something, writing wise, or I'll be on a track to publication with a very promising couple of projects right now. When I'm not out of the country this summer, of course, I can work like a crazy person at CSPAC, my favorite job evar. As of now, I'm starting back there on a regular basis ASAP -- that paycheck, on the whole, every two weeks, is going directly into savings. That'll be between 400 and 500 a month savings, and considering the frugality with which I've become accustomed lately, I think I'll be able to manage putting even more away once my credit card is payed off (which will be before Christmas) of all Computer-upgrade debt.

So good.

Wish me luck!
