So I'm here at work, and I realize that about... oh, say, 8 to 9 months ago, I just sort of stopped posting to LJ. Mostly because I wasn't in front of the computer much, but also because I kind of... well... forgot about it.
Anyway, now I have this job, and during the workday I'm in front of a computer for 8 hours at a time (don't worry, it's actually quite interesting). I think I'll use this as a random-post LJ rather than just insight exclusively; any humorous entries will probably be fleshed out over at the blog site, which I will eventually (hopefully) start to make into some sort of mentallyincontinent type thingy.
In that vein, I noticed something yesterday that's actually really weird. Here at the job, I do a lot of transcribing, and the one major thing I've noticed is that while listening to a piece of audio, I actually type about 1.5 times faster if I have my eyes closed. I find I'm able to visualize the keyboard in my head, especially the location of my fingers on the keys, without any trouble (and often without the help of home row).
I wonder if I'd be good with a piano. (Assuming, of course, I could memorize tones as easily as letters.)
