Hope and Permaculture
It is amazing to learn about permaculture principles intertwined with consensus based community building from a woman who tells great stories, and connects everything to indigenous people's way of living. (who would have thought that would be in Turkey...and that I would meet my future yoga teacher. ahhh syncronicity!)
Aside from things I can do in my home and my garden (someday), I learned certain facilitation techniques that I can use as a teacher (someday).
Fuck molotov cocktails and feeling guilty about not screaming my lungs out while getting poisoned on the streets. I would rather chant "Bellamamma" with a white haired, California tanned hippie while taking steps for a sustainable future any day!
If you want hope, look to nature and people in the sustainable eco-movement NOT Obama.
