Spider Man for Women?

Sally, Sally's friend Dena and I saw Spider Man 2 tonight, and I especially liked the ending. On the other hand, a friend at work today said his male friend sort of liked it, but thought the ending really ruined it. The waiter we had at the Cheesecake Factory following the movie also thought the movie did not appeal to guys.

So, is Spider Man 2 a, as they say (and I don't know the equivalent for a guy's flick--maybe "dick flick" is not quite right?) a "chick flick?"
