I was in the restroom at my work the other day and saw a tiny dark speck on the back edge of the sink as I was washing my hands. I took a close look at it, and the speck suddenly moved faster than my eye could track it!
Sure enough, as I suspected it was a very tiny, very cute
jumping spider! As I finished washing my hands I thought that the little fellow might get into trouble there on the sink, I know some of my associates would think nothing of a little spider mush, and some are even afraid of spiders. Afraid I might mush him myself because he was so tiny, I just gave him a good puff, and off he flew behind the sink! I wished him well with his hunting and for his safety!
Next day I go into the restroom and I see a little black speck across from the sink on the stainless steel paper towel holder! Sure enough, it was my little friend!
Thinking he was doing extremely well to have survived a day in a busy restroom, I proceeded to open the screen on the window (which is on the second floor), put a paper towel below the spider, coaxed him to jump onto the paper towel, and then carried him to the open window and shook him out!
I felt better knowing he was back in his natural environment and safely out of the way of big lumbering (and uncaring) humans! ;)
