Good News and Bad News St. Andrews

Kat came home for a week break tonight! It was so nice to see her!

She had something in the mail from St. Andrews University!The good news is, she was accepted! The bad news is, they accepted none of her college credits, so she would be starting as a Freshman

I have a former housemate in the St Andrews grad philosophy major and as far as I can tell they really are getting enough people to not care too much about alienating a prospective student or 20.

I will say though she loves it enough to keep going back despite a husband stateside, the most horrific academic politics imaginable, and a case of seasonal affective disorder so severe she has to keep flying out of the country to balance herself again (Scotland in the winter is NOT the place for someone with issues with sunlight limitations).

It does sound like a great place, and Kat liked it when she visited her friend there in January, but it probably will not come to be....

As they say, I guess, when one door is shut another door will open... :)
