My hands and feet swelled up a lot on the airplane, especially my left hand, and on that hand, especially my ring finger, which also turned purplish.
As soon as I got of my first airplane I raced to a restroom to soap up my finger and get my wedding ring off, a process that hurt a lot, but I knew I had to do it immediately.
When I got to the rental car, I turned the air conditioning to blow directly on it, which helped somewhat, and now I'm icing it (um, except when I'm typing).

Dallas is HOT. It's 90 degrees out right now, at midnight.

And in the Complete Loser Department...
There was guy waiting next to me to board the plane in Hartford, who was told that his suitcase would have to be checked at planeside. (It was a small regional jet, with small luggage compartments.) This was obviously a personal affront. Never mind the laws of physics.
He argued with the airline employee, then flipped her off, and kicked his suitcase, knocking it over and propelling it a short distance.
He informed the onlookers that Security had taken away the bottle of "pancake syrup" he was bringing to somebody as a gift, and now this! I'm curious how he could have possibly not been aware that he would not be allowed to take that much liquid in a carry-on.
(I saw him in the boarding area for my second plane too. I didn't go near. But I did note that on this bigger plane he was able to take the poor bruised suitcase in with him.)
