Over on the old AoD forums, there is a blog feature, which I've been making a lot of use out of lately.
geoduck has an entry he's been updating daily with some of his favorite songs. I loved it, so I started my own. I wanted to share this one here for those who aren't on AoD.

It's Glen Campbell with the Stone Temple Pilots performing "Wichita Lineman." It was recorded in the studio and the intimate setting and sparse arrangement really suit it. I can't find anything about this video. I have no idea why he was in the studio with them, or why it was never released on an album or a DVD. There is just this youtube video, and it gets taken down a lot. So enjoy it before it's gone again.
Oh, yeah, check out Glen's guitar. It's a Danelectro Longhorn baritone guitar. He played a Danelectro baritone on the original song that he borrowed from Carol Kaye, the famed Everett WA bassist who, along with Glen and several others, were the "Wrecking Crew," a group of in-demand LA studio musicians in the 1960s. She played on 10,000 songs in her career, including playing bass on the Beach Boys "Pet Sounds."
