I forgot to write about Sunday, December 4th, the day after ILD, but I'll write about it now because it was a lovely day. The day before, when we were getting ready to go home from the tea party in New York, Amelia agreed to come home with me so we could hang out more the next day. When we got back to my house, she showed me some awesome metal songs on youtube while we drank yet more tea. Three in particular were "Hall of the Mountain King" by Savatage, "To Hell with the Devil" by Stryper, and "Mary Lou" by Sonata Arctica:

Mary Lou omg... I haven't laughed so hard over lyrics in a long time. ;nnn; Sonata Arctica really is the best ♥
The next day, we met up with Miakoda and the three of us visited the
New Egypt Flea Market (love the creepy voice on this website). I would imagine it gets busier in summer, but at this time of year it was nearly deserted. XD I should've taken some photos of this place! Some of the little shacks were filled with complete junk while other places had great stuff--I wish I had brought more cash for the antique scissors and old-fashioned switchblades. In the end, all I could afford was this:
I BOUGHT A SWORD
Yeah.
As soon as we saw it, Amelia and I froze. We looked at it, then looked at each other and said, "Let's do this the right way." We both assumed an air of solemnity as Amelia held the scabbard and I unsheathed the glittering blade and held it aloft. I don't think I can properly convey what an epic moment it was. Of course then we both dissolved into an ungodly fit of laughter, but seriously, guys. EPIC FEELINGS WERE FELT. XD
Upon leaving the flea market, we returned to a farmer's market we passed on the way there. It was a great little place! Fresh pies, hot apple cider, fruitcake, homemade pickles and preserves-- basically everything you could want, including an obliging clerk who was willing to make us some sandwiches. I had a delicious tuna fish sandwich and apple cider, and brought home a blueberry crumble to share with my parents. Koda and I dropped Amelia off at the train station and then went back home to watch Hanna. Perfect day. ♥
