A parked car makes a damn good birdwatching blind. I went to the park yesterday, and for a half hour I sat in the car finish a book, and while I was there in the car birds were everywhere. A white-breasted nuthatch on the tree I parked in front of. Bluebirds in the tree and on the trash can next to the car. Bushtits and wrens. A raven methodically ripping apart a dead ground squirrel and flying back and forth (to and from it's nest, I assume) with a beak full of meat. Too bad birdwatching opportunities where you can see things from a parked car are not common.
