[Not long after Lloyd tells her where Kratos is, she's showing up in the clinic. She hesitates in the doorway of his room, not quite sure what to expect.]
[He immediately jerks his arm out of her grip and reaches his hand to his side, where his sword usually is, though it's absent right now. Instead, he narrows his eyes in the direction where he assumes she is.]
[He must not recognize her... Of course, why would he? She draws her mana into her hands, and they begin to glow slightly. Now she lays it back on his arm. He'd recognize the feeling, she hoped, as her healing mana. He'd know it's her... She hoped.]
[A relieved half-grin.] Yes, it's- [Oh right. Deaf. She squeezes once on his arm in confirmation. This is difficult, since there's so much she wants to say to him... Now, against her better judgment, she leans in and wraps her arms around him as best she can in a hug. She's not sure whose benefit it's for, just that a hug is necessary in this situation.]
[He was just working out in his head that she was actually Martel - his last image of her was when she widened her eyes and gave a pained gasp before she turned into dust. She was here now, alive, but at what cost?
He tenses when she feels her arms around his shoulders. It's an unexpected move even if he were able to see and hear. Physical touch is something he isn't used to, especially one so affectionate. After a moment, though, he lifts an arm to return it.]
[The returned hug, even if it was only one-armed, was all she could've asked for. Forgiveness... Even though he knows it's her, shes still got the healing mana in her hands, the best she can offer by way of 'thank you' and 'I'm so so sorry' and all of the other things she wants him to know.]
[There's a flood of emotion that he can feel from Martel's mana, so much that it's almost overwhelming. Apologies, thankfulness, other things that he couldn't decipher. He had been used to Svala's soothing wave of feelings, not this.
Because of that, he frowns and loosens his hold, though he doesn't pull out of it just yet.]
Obviously, communication is limited for me. [Though his face and voice carefully mask it, he feels bitter to have to admit his own weakness.] If you wish, you can spell out what you want to say on my hand. Slowly.
[She feels his grip loosen, and she respects that, releasing him in return. She takes his hand now, and immediately (but slowly, as requested) spells out 'I M S O S O R R Y'. Apostrophes are irrelavent in hand-spelling.]
...For your actions and behavior from earlier, yes? I cannot say that everything will be all right. You've lost something dear to you and a crazed vampire will likely want to turn you into one of her own again. I don't know what compelled you to do that to yourself, but whatever it was, it was foolish. I hope you've learned from this.
[He leaves out that Drusilla is after him, too, lest Martel decides to try and take matters into her own hands to protect him.]
You have apologized and asked for forgiveness, knowing what your actions have done. You've learned yet another horror of this land. I admit that when I saw what you had become, my respect for you had diminished.
I do forgive you. But now you must strive to live with your disability... and to earn that respect once more. I expect you to do your best.

Oh Kratos...

You have the support of your friends, should Drusilla try to change you again. They will also forgive you. This I am certain of.
