1) If anyone comes in, Martel's still got her Mallynap-wounds, detailed here. This is less a 'hey guys feel sorry for her' and more a 'here's a heads-up because your character would almost definitely notice, whether they say something or not'.
2) Your character can come in at any time of the day in any shape. Martel will figure something out. Oh, also! IF ANYONE ELSE WAS IN THE CENTER TODAY, feel free to just say that and we'll act like they've been chillin' together this whole time, or whatever applies.
