Good afternoon, New Feathers. I've had a wonderful time meeting and assisting you throughout the week, and I hope you're all doing well

[Frederic disliked the rainy weather, but thought it was better than staying in the house. When passing by, he can spy Martel and tries to smile for her.]
[She's looking up at the voice, ready with a smile, but oh, it's not a New Feather. So her bright welcoming smile fades to a dimmer but less forced one.] Afternoon, Frederic. Can I help you?
I simply thought about us having a nice conversation together since I saw you as I was passing by. May I have the honor of doing so? Unless you have other tasks that need to be done.
[There's a table with a plate of brownies nearby, in the main room, so she'll be gesturing toward one of the chairs, sitting in another herself.] Help yourself to the brownies... Today's a bit of a slow day, New-Feather-wise.
[Sitting in the chair near Martel, he continues his humble appearance as his eyes turn to look at the brownies.]
Thank you Martel, that is very kind of you. [He picks up one of the brownies and begins to eat it in a gentlemanly fashion. After finishing his first bite, he looks towards Martel again.] I have noticed myself many New Feathers coming into the village. However, they seem to have already taken residents in other houses and the such.
If you need anyone to help you here at the center, I would gladly volunteer. Being cooped up in my home trying to compose and attempting to write poetry is not exactly something worthwhile anymore.
Ah? I'm sorry to hear that. If you'd like to volunteer, your help is welcome, but... is there anything I can do to make your arts a bit easier for you?
It is quite all right, it is not your fault after all. [He takes time to ponder and then gets an idea.] I know I rarely mention this, but I'm someone who uses visuals as an art as well. If I may be permitted to sketch you onto paper, I may find inspiration again.
To sketch... me? [Pardon the shock, this doesn't happen... well, ever. Eventually she grins slightly.] It would be an honor.
[Oh wait, first!] On one condition. I'm afraid I won't be able to sit still long enough inside unless you'd allow me to play my panpipes as you sketch. Were we to do it outside, that might be a different story, but in this weather... [She's not gonna finish that sentence. She doesn't need to, her concept is conveyed, she'll be looking at you waiting for a yay or nay.]
Of course I could allow you that, Martel. It will give more life to the sketch as well, or at least what I believe. [He pauses for a moment then blushes a little.] Oh, it would seem I don't have a pad or pencil to draw with. [He laughs a little, his blush remaining.] You wouldn't happen to have any, would you?
Oh, of course. One moment. [She disappears into the back room, where she left her journal. She always keeps a pencil handy, with her journal. She'll be snatching a notepad off a nearby table on the way in (usually used to sketch out useful maps or write down directions), offering both to Frederic.] Will these do?
These are perfect, thank you. [Frederic puts the notepad into his lap and holds the pencil in his hand.] As soon as you sit again, I would like to begin.
Alright then. [She'll grab her panpipes out of her journal and slide up to sit crosslegged on the table, an action that's odd in and of itself, since she isn't the table-sitting sort. With a glance at Frederic, she swallows her self-consciousness (where did that come from, anyway?), closes her eyes, and begins to play.
The song is slower, so her hands aren't moving too quickly or too often, trying to be as still for him as possible.]
Good afternoon, Martel.

[Following her, he is smiling warmly to find that place they can sit together with actual chairs.]
