I'm really sorry to be doing this...
Hi everyone. This is important, and I wouldn't be doing it otherwise, but I have no options left.
One of my cats is incredibly sick. He's got what I believe to be a severe respiratory infection, and due to the fact that my car broke down last month, I don't have the money to take him to the vet.
I've contacted every single vet clinic within two hours of my home, and none of them are willing to see him unless I can pay a minimum of forty dollars up front.
Currently, I have twenty dollars in my bank account until friday, and I'm starting to think that he might not make it until then, so in an act of complete and utter desperation, I'm asking you, the people whom I've befriended over the years to help me out if you can. I've set up a donation button. From what I've asked the vets, the exam itself is forty dollars and the medicine can be upwards of fifty. My goal is to try and get eighty dollars so I can take him to an emergency vet as soon as possible (hopefully by monday, he's really not doing well), and failing that, I'll have to give him up for adoption, just to make sure he can get the medical treatment he needs.
I know this is asking a lot, times are tight and none of us have a lot of money to throw around, but I'll do my best to pay back anyone who is able or willing to donate to help me save my cat. He means the world to me, and all I want is for him to get better.
I really appreciate anything that can be contributed, and I really hope this works.
