Coming home from a kiddie party, I thought I'd pass by new dessert shop in the neighborhood. I asked for their bestseller and I was told it was the creme brullee. I ordered for take home but server came back with co-owner to say that they don't really do take home for it because the ramekin comes with it and that they would have to charge me extra for it. Wait, "You're giving away your stuff?" Co-owner was being nice about it but I remembered, "I just live in the area, I could just give it back." And so it was cool.
He was doing some heavy marketing telling me how they just started 2 months ago and that they have been asked to cater, reserved as a venue for a little gathering/shindig/hootenanny here and there. I asked who it was named after, he tells me its his girlfriend, who came over in awhile(Wow, magbigay pugay daw ba?). I gave them credit for being the first to have come up with a dessert buffet. He tells me however that they are not the first but this other shop in Q.C. who charges P199 excluding drinks with low reviews, whom they know too. Hahaha. Walang siraan pero reviews have spoken.
I genuinely think their place is a good idea because there are just those days when you need to hang out somewhere quiet and sugar up in a lovely place that isn't just a coffee shop(Starbuck's gets noisy, okay). I was served a creme brullee on the house, was made to taste some of their imported candies and their peach iced tea(not the powdered kind that leaves a bad taste in your mouth). For P299 you can have your fill of cupcake, cheesecake, candies, crepe, cookies, cake and fondue with unlimited coffee or tea. I'm not sure if its the only kakanin but they have palitaw, also. Noticeable nacho chips on the common table as well and I don't know if its part of the buffet but they have side table that serves siomai. "Pampatanggal umay" ba. Plus points!
On my way out, dude asked that I get my photo taken in front of their sign as "evidence". I'm like, "Evidence talaga? Like its a bad thing. Here's another 'sweet-toothed glutton' who came by---let's post it on our social media page!" He explained they mean no offense but they're just celebrating their business and blahblahblah. O sha, sige na at makaalis na ako.
