Panooring lokal, snob ako.

Yay! Got to watch Zombadings 1: Patayin sa Shokot si Remington last Friday with Tissa, Tuls & Tra. Going up the escalator to the movie house, we see walls flanked by posters of a movie called "My Other Wife" which Tissa & I looked at each other and said, "Di ba nagawan na yan ng pelikula dati?" Fine.

SYA!

I love that its an indie. I love the writing. I love that its got drama, comedy, "coming of age", suspense, horror & sci-fi all in one. I love that the protagonist is a fresh face & one which hasn't been tainted by my impression on local noon time shows. I love that it has familiar/well-known actors from during "my prime" who are "well-crafted". I love that the setting doesn't need to be in Manila for it to be relatable. I love the end credits presentation & the yet to be credited performers of the theme song.

Awaaard.

Maybe my problem is not having watched enough movies that are local blockbusters. But I'm okay. I think I would rather watch this 10x than see a movie called "My Other Wife" anyway.
