Ok, that's a bit of a stretch, but last night I had to purchase 62 cent colored pencils and a 42 cent posterboard. While this may not raise even the slightest twinge of an eyebrow hair on an art student, it upsets me. Mainly because I'm a Senior, and an English/Theology major. I can tell you all about the works of Flavius Josephus while simultaneously drawing parallels from Ivanhoe to modern 20th century America. But yesterday, I had to do some coloring. I decided to put off taking my Lifetime Wellness class until my Senior year because I'm that lazy. The project requiring said posterboard and colored pencils was for this class. It's a Family Medical History chart, get this, REQUIRING to be drawn out by hand and color coded to indicate diseases. I offered to do the entire project on Microsoft Publisher, but my instructor said that wouldn't work. It HAD to be drawn by hand to make it more understandable. I thought they invented computers to make people's writing more legible and projects appear more professional, but not in this case. To quote a friend, "I'm sorry I left my colored pencils at home. I thought this was supposed to be college."
