Selling/giving away stuff you don't need? I might need it.
I've been realizing all the things I've never needed to buy because I've always moved into other people's already established living situations. I've also had some smaller things that I've ended up leaving behind in former living situations because they just haven't seemed so crucial. Now that I'm getting my own place, I'm looking for the following apartment accoutrements:
A big metal kitchen garbage can with a footswitch-operated lid
A smaller version of the same thing for the bathroom
(The lids and heavyweight metal are crucial because of Lyla.)
A coffee table or good wood to build one
A toaster (small and simple, please)
A microwave (small and simple as well, please)
More white plastic clothing hangers
Broom & Dustpan
Kitchen stuff like serving bowls and spatulas and big spoons
A long baby gate to keep Lyla out of an area
Maybe one of those shelves that bolts simply to the wall with those L racks?
Glass/plastic (preferably glass) containers for beverages? I often make iced tea, iced coffee, thai tea, other drinks that need storage.
Possibly a floor lamp or two
Not that I expect you guys to have this stuff sitting around in forgotten states, but there's no harm in asking, right? I'm looking to save as much money as possible. Cheap is good, free is better. Trade is fair.
