The big news of the day is I finally, finally finally finished the first full draft of my submission for acd_holmesfest, and because I have the world's best betas already received not one but two sets of revisions. Really, you guys went above and beyond on this one. I'll have the final version be off to the comm maintainers by tonight ( Read more... )

The most difficult part of Teitho is always the wait between submitting an entry and finally being able to post the tale elsewhere, so I can empathize.

I'm a Doyle and Granada girl too though I find the BBC version fun.

For me, they really are two very different things. It's not a competition: I love Doyle for one set of reasons, and I also love the BBC show but it's for something totally different. Thanks for turning me on to Granada, btw! It's really wonderful to unwind to.

I like the Doyle/Granada fandom better. It's got a slower pace and you seem to have more people who are relaxed and have a sense of humor about the stories, with less drama. That doesn't mean the BBC fandom doesn't produce great art or that there aren't some great people working there as well, it's just more of a mixture in my experience.
