Perhaps I'm getting a bit bored with Blogger and may want to make this my official blog...but then again, maybe not. We shall see.
Had my psych final on Friday. It was scheduled from 9-11; I was out the door by 8:21. I went to school everyday that week not because I had to (psych was my only final) but because I wanted to. I hung out in the CAD lab working on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday surfing the web and working on some designs.
On Wednesday I had the wonderful opportunity to go to Washington, D.C. with my arch prof. The excuse was that we wanted to check out the University of DC's arch program, which was a legitimate excuse after all, but we spent most of the time at the National Building Museum (awesome!), the Washington Monument, a cool Indian restaurant with yummy eggplant stuff and a groovy Islamic grocery/book/music/clothing store. Even the drive to and from was entertaining with a good mix of sarcastic humour and unexpectedly deep seriousness. Woot for cool profs, eh?
I was very, very, very pissed off at someone last night and attacked my punching bag without bothering to wrap my hands first. It's a canvas bag...very rough and abrasive to skin. Now my knuckles on both hands, mostly the bottom set, are rubbed raw and are in that in-between stage of healing where they're not bleeding anymore, but they're not scabbed over yet; they're just, well, oozing and occasionally getting a cat hair stuck to them. They burn like hell and now my bag is spotted with little red dots all over. It turns out I'm an equal opportunity puncher: both hands are pretty much equally destroyed.
On a *completely* unrelated note (wink wink) I can't wait to see you guys!! I assume we'll be getting together this week at some point? Right? Right. As for now, I've gotta go price some cheap tape recorders at Wal-Mart; my prof said a while back that he wanted to hear some of my music, and I've been spending a lot of time at the keyboard lately because I haven't really had the drive to do much else. I guess it's a good thing I've forgiven it for falling on my face last month.
Toodles!
