Jail??

My sister might go to jail. Juvenile hall. Whatever. She didn't go to school at all the first week. She essentially never went to ninth grade since she has no credits from it. Parents had a meeting with the school including prosecutors and shit and they actually gave her another chance but she said she'd rather eat dirt than go there. She keeps saying that she would go to any other school but we already have proof that that's not true because she DIDN'T GO TO 3 SUMMER SCHOOLS!!! My mom changed the schools for her twice and she didn't go to any of them. What a stupid lying bitch. Now my mom and other people in the family are trying to give guardianship to my grandparents so she can go to the public school in their city. It's so stupid. I know the same thing will happen. I don't know what's going to happen yet.

I got a new cell phone. Mine hadn't been working for months. I just waited until my contract expired to get a new one instead of fixing the old one. It feels really weird to actually be able to call people when I'm out.

Ugly Betty is a really awesome show. Seriously, why didn't I watch more TV last season? I bought the DVD boxsets of that and Heroes. In Ugly Betty, I know Betty has this whole love for Henry, but it really seems that her and Daniel have more chemistry together. Is that done on purpose? Is that going to be an eventual happening?

I also got the Masterpiece Theater versions of The Woman in White and The Moonstone. I know TV movies are never really great or anything but The Woman in White really sucks. Actually, it's not terrible but they just changed so much to fit it into two hours. I'm not a purist at all and I like changes in movies but this is almost unrecognizable. Laura Fairlie is even more of a dip than in the book. So is Walter. I do like that they made Marian even more cool and she's not some manly lady like in the book. She was the only good character. What I don't get is why Walter ever fell for Laura because she was just a stupid weak girl. But Walter was also a stupid weak guy so I guess it makes sense. I wish they had kept the whole Count Fosco being extremely fat and being in love with Marian. He actually yells at her and accuses her in this which he would never have done. I'm rambling.

Has anybody hear read Wilkie Collins? He was a really popular author in the 1860s and a good friend of Charles Dickens. He wrote "sensation novels" which were the precursor to detective stories and were basically just stories with a lot of crazy stuff happening. If you like this kind of stuff, you should check him out! The Woman in White and The Moonstone are my favorites but No Name and Armadale are also good. You can get them all on Amazon.

My class is really late tomorrow so I'm going to watch The Moonstone now too and hope they didn't change the whole story of the mystery for that one either.
