Twilight, the movie, like the book, would have been more enjoyable to me had we watched it in solitude first, or rather in a more quiet environment. When it's released in VCD form, I think I'd go buy it and watch it alone... it might turn out to be the romantic movie that it should be, first love and all that shit~ I have a love-hate relationship with the series, and I absolutely adore the first book! It's in the spirit of the book, this one.
The kilig moments are really kilig! But there are scenes when they just don't have the chemistry together, or that Edward isn't slick enough, (forest scene looks awkward!) and those pick up lines.. and Bella is soooo agressive! Lolz ^_^ And Stephenie Meyer in the movie?! Helloooo, she didn't even make a big job of appearing casual, smiling in the movie like she knows something we don't, or else, suffering a kilig moment too, watching her fantasized character. Goshh~
Edward looked like a geisha! Ergh~ Wtf is wrong with the make-up artist? He looked so... gay~ And Jacob is a pug-faced long-haired... ERGH! Hahaha! Hope he turns better on the next one. And Bella is... no comment ^.^
Anyway, 6.5/10 for the movie. Might've gotten higher if the cinema house was dead silent, save for some moments. (Ergh! Nakakaasar yung mga tili ng tili sa likod!!!)
Final Fantasy VII, Advent Children is just really, a crappy story! Wahahaa! But I loved the characters' outfits and the fight scenes. Maybe I just really didn't get the story seeing as I've never really played the game, but there really was little dialogue and too much action. Hmm.. even the English dubbers sucked, the voices didn't catch the emotions that they should carry. I wonder what it's like in the original Japanese... better I guess.
2/10 for me.
And last is CJ7 (长江七号). And it's in the tradition of E.T. and Kokey (not the series) Chinese version with Stephen Chow in the supporting role and an adorable boy in the lead. Yun nga lang, parang bitin. The animation wouldn't get a perfect score for me, probably 8, but the story was pretty awesome, and the lines were really funny. The kid characters were all crazy~ HAHA! But that's what you get with Stephen Chow, comedy, action, and a good enough story.
Though I have to admit it's quite annoying that we had to watch it in a smaller TV as the DVD player in the living room does not read pirateds. Oh well. ^_^
It's a story to be watched with family, and we did just that... wish I had an alien dog. Lolz.
8/10!
There's no definite criteria for all of these grading, they're just in my head, a feeling of whether I'm satisfied or not. :D
