Queer as seen through Harry Potter.

This article is awesome. And I am ridiculously proud that it came out of the little Portland art newsletter that I'd occasionally look through. (Even though I don't identify as a Portlander) And yes, it is old as hell but that doesn't mean I can't enjoy it.

I love the queer culture it digs into. I love how queer people are discussed as being 'unseen' and the historical traces of where it bobbed to the surface. And I'd love to see Rowling write another series wherein the Muggles are introduced to the wizarding world in a sort of wizarding-visibility-revolution- as a sociological obstacle to overcome, I'd find that far more interesting than seven books about killing off Voldemort.
