Special thanks to Ben for putting my top 10 list on his music article. It still rocks, bro.

There were a lot of great releases this year, and it was difficult to put up a list of a solid ten. I might have cheated by putting out In Flames, but I put it up for a reason. I rarely fall in love with an album the first time I listen to it, and "Come Clarity" was one of those rare instances. It shot to the top.

There were a few artists who put out good CDs this year. These are albums that have two or three great tracks, but on the whole, aren't consistent. These made my honorable mention list.

MARSHALL'S HONORABLE MENTIONS OF 2005

1. Mars Volta - Francis The Mute
2. Fear Factory - Transgression
3. Mudvayne - Lost and Found
4. Roadrunner United
5. Queens of the Stone Age - Lullabies to Paralyze
6. Chevelle - This Type of Thinking (Could Do Us In)
7. Moby - Hotel (but only the instrumental disc)
8. Masters of Horror OST
EDIT: 9. Eisley - Room Noises (Thanks, Stephanie.)

They are all worthy, but aren't "complete" packages.

Three good songs does not a "Best of" album make.
