Veronica's Room at the Hyperion - New Years Morning

Veronica woke up with a pounding headache. And her mouth was extremely dry. She tried to crack her eyes open to look for a bottle of water, but the ambient light in the room made the pain in her head about twenty times worse so she screwed her eyes shut again.

And instinctively curled closer to the warm body in bed with her.

For all Dick knew he was still in Fandom so wrapping an arm around the chick snuggling closer to him was normal. His head hurt and he wasn't looking to get out of bed anytime soon.

Veronica was vaguely aware that she wasn't supposed to be waking up in bed with anyone.

But her head hurt too much to look and see who it was.

"Water?" she croaked, hoping that her bedmate would take pity on her. Or wasn't as hungover as she was.

"I could use some," Dick mumbled. Then he realized that wasn't Annette's voice.

There were two other people that Veronica could have conceivably ended up waking up next to this morning. And both of them kind of made sense and that wasn't either of their voice.
