Veronica closed her laptop. Between braving the Black Friday crowds and taking advantage of Cyber Monday, she had all of her Christmas shopping done.

Veronica nodded. "So is everything okay with you? You've been kind of quiet since the boys left yesterday."

And, yes, Veronica was grateful that thus far any potential future children she had show up were temporary.
