Veronica closed her laptop. Between braving the Black Friday crowds and taking advantage of Cyber Monday, she had all of her Christmas shopping done.

"Unfortunately not even close." he said, rubbing his forehead. He was going to kill Chris and/or Anders for even telling her. "I'm kind of fuzzy on the details but my girlfriend angrily filled me in. Apparently we had two kids and were all happy married couple in Neptune. Which is ridiculous since everyone knows there's no such thing in Neptune."

"Um, no. You want to hear something crazy, V?" Dick asked, trying to make it sound like was telling a joke. "We had AU kids in my Fandom Invasions class last month and by some weird chance I got a kid that belonged to you and me. Totally random."

That clattering sound would be Veronica dropping the phone in shock.

After a few moments of fumbling, she said, "Well, when the AU kids showed up, Bel had gotten Anders knocked up, so how likely is it to happen?"
