Veronica was hanging out in her room, going over all the notes she had gathered thus far in the case she was investigating. She probably should have been studying for finals, but with the reports of another rape on campus, she figured the investigating took precedence.

His conversation with Marty was still going through his mind along with anything Bel had told him. It really wasn't making concentrating easy so Cameron decided that he needed a study break and if he happened to talk to his girlfriend during it, that was just a bonus.

He picked up the telephone and hit speeddial.

"Hey, baby," Veronica answered, having checked her caller ID this time. "I wasn't expecting to hear from you already. What's going on?"

"I get why you did it. I still don't agree and I wish you'd told me, but I get it," he told her.

"Okay," she said. "That's what you called to tell me?"

"Yes. Partly. I wanted to hear you," he said and sighed because he knew that it was kind of dumb to be worried after the facts. "Why did Bel try to kill you before?"

Veronica was silent for a minute since that question caught her off guard. "Um... which time?" she finally asked.

"Yeah," she sighed. "Two times."

"Okay, let's go chronological," he said, not sounding all too impressed with this new revelation.

"First time was right after Angel got his soul," Veronica explained. "Bel blamed me because I was the one who found the evidence that Angelus killed Kitty."
