Bel had been lurking outside the Koala cabin having a smoke when he saw Veronica leave the Flamingo cabin alone and head into the woods. Dropping his cigarette and grounding it out with a sigh, he cut across the camp and followed after her. She should know better than to walk in the woods alone in this place.

Veronica was lost in thought about a lot of things and didn't realize she was being followed.

She walked for a while and then found a sturdy tree with a branch that was low enough for her to hoist herself on without much effort. She climbed up and sat on the branch, leaning back against the trunk of the tree and closing her eyes.

Was she crazy? Bel stood quietly, watching her, debating teaching her a lesson.

There were too many thoughts racing through Veronica's mind to let her truly relax. After about a minute, she opened her eyes and looked around, spotting a shadowy figure nearby.

She immediately reached for her taser.

"Of course you did," Veronica sighed. "Well, I know it wasn't Logan. Marty or Angel? Or both?"

Bel shrugged. "Why does it matter? They obviously didn't want you to know about it or they would've told you."

"I'm almost nineteen years old. I'm rather capable of taking care of myself and I'm getting pretty sick and tired of all the men in my life thinking I need looking after," Veronica ranted.

"It involves me, that makes it my business," Veronica countered. "If you're going to start following me around and attacking me, I think I deserve to know why."

Veronica leaned back against the trunk of the tree again and tried to remember what she had been feeling so restless about when she left camp. Unfortunately, now all she could think about was the fact that Dr. Grissom had asked Bel to keep an eye on her and he was. Quite literally.

She sighed and jumped down from the tree. "I'm heading back now, if that meets with your approval."
