Yes, it was break week. And, yes, it was nearly a holiday.

But Veronica was still in her office with a rather large cup of coffee. If anyone asked, she was working on her syllabus. The truth was she was hiding.

It... probably wasn't the greatest hiding place in the world.

Veronica groaned at the caller ID.

But she knew that she had to answer it sometime.

"Go ahead. Get it over with."

Such a friendly greeting.

"Went to a bar with Deadpool. Some emo kids decided to start shit. We finished it."

Which... she should have known better. But it felt kind of nice.

"Their friends showed up and Deadpool took care of them. Then the cops showed up."
