Brags, Beats, and Variance

Brag: March was eventful. Got to see my best friend Steveo a few times, and although poker/gambling-wise Foxwoods sucked big-time at the beginning of the month, memories of him arguing with Mikey while we were all in bed at 5:30am in the dark while intermittently drinking Schnapps was one of the funniest moments I've ever encountered. Having him come up here and do trivia with some others was pretty fun, as well. Also an interesting karaoke night at Yong Shing's with Jess and others.

Beat: Being completely honest, I really never actively seek out opportunities to pick up women when out with friends, but these past few months I've just come upon these situations randomly, and each time it seems like a cuter and awesomer girl personality-wise, and the last 5 times I've email and number closed, I never got a reply and I just don'tet it. Why not just give me a fake number, a fake email, or nothing at all instead of this false hope. I know when I'm being inadvertently creepy or awkward, but none of these meetings had any of these, and it's just tearing me up inside a day or two after. I'm so sick of having to wait for the law of averages. Oh, and not a big deal, but Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist was kinda meh, at least that was rented from the Jones library for free.

Variance: Poker has been going pretty good. I've been on the happy side of variance, but playing more hands and putting more hours in than ever. Now that my site has a VIP program to aim for, I definitely feel I will be more motivated to grind. Not only to move up back to limits where I can start saving some decent money, but maybe take a vacation or something as well. If I can start getting 30-40k hands a month in, I'll be good to go, but really really need to get a DVI (?) cable to hook up my 30 inch monitor to my laptop and not have to strain my eyes anymore.
