New Screenplay
So I've finally got started on a new screenplay, hopefully turning this into the 100-pager for Geisler's Advanced Screenwriting class next semester. It's based on a post on a large internet forum that's received a ridiculous amount of attention (over 170k hits in less than a month, around 4800 replies) involving a psychologically questionable attractive femme fatale, a wily and well-respected veteran with a sleazy side, and an up-and-coming internet pro taken advantage of.
I might go for Rashomon-esque style with the three telling their stories as they saw it, not sure yet. I have a few pages written so far, and things will be changed around for dramatic effect. Not sure how much significance I want to put on poker, though it definitely will be sort of a factor that brings them all together obviously. I just don't want it to distract from the dramatic plot. I hope to have 50 pages done by the end of break (which is ambitious, but I do have time on my hands at work usually).
