The Best Days of Summer

Jul 18, 2007 19:45

Yesterday and today have been some of the best days of summer yet.

Yesterday, I went to the Music Department Picnic, where my friends were actually nice to me, I went swimming without feeling self-conscious, and good times were had. Then, MOLES (For those of you who don't know, my friend made up an entertainment soccer league for me and my friends) played their first game yesterday, and my team dominated (well, not really, we won 6 to 5, but it was still a well played game.) After 2 hours, I was dying of exhaustion, but it felt sooooo worth it

Today, the fucking thunder woke me up, but it was all good. We went up to see my Grandma, who almost forced me to eat (Jewish/Italian thing), and then we saw Harry Potter. This was my second time luckily, and I will tell you why.

My Grandma brought a bag of popcorn with her, because as mentioned we are Jewish, and thusforth we like to conserve. AKA we're cheap. Anyway, after sharing with my mom and Grandma, I noticed I had a piece of kernal in my throat. Like, the mother fucker was stuck. I got up to get a bottle of water, which was $3.75. Those damn robber barons. Anyway, that didn't work, and it made me have to get up AGAIN and go pee.

After the movie, we went to a pizza place near my Grandma's house, and I ate lots of bread and chicken parm in hope of dislodging this fucking kernal. Well, it moved from the side of my throat to the back of it.

So, 3 hours later, this kernal is still in my god damn throat, and I sound like I've been smoking for 40 years each time I try to hack it up.

But the bright side of today is that I got to see a movie, and then my mommy took me shopping at Kohl's. I had a $25 gift card, and the nice cashier gave us the special %15 off for seniors even though my mom is definatly not a senior. I got two pairs of really cute shoes, a new sportsbra (for MOLES, because I definatly need it. These puppies don't stay down), and some new socks, because you can never have too many. And my mommy got socks and a handbag, which is good because she's had hers for about 2 and a half years now.

These in brown:

And these kick-ass babies:

So, I <3 Kohl's now, and I'm definatly going back there for my fall wardrobe. The prices are pretty decent and the clothes are cuuuute to the max. Plus, I spent less on a pair of Vans than I probably would anywhere else. So wooo

So that was yesterday and today. Tomorrow I have work, bleh, and I have a lot of summer work to do. But I'm content with life.

Besides that running around for 2 hours cut my feet up, and I got somebody thrown on my head in the pool yesterday, and now my neck, back, and sides kill.

C'est la vie. I'm perfectly content

P.S. I'm an 7.5 now instead of an 8. FTW I'm shrinking already!!!
