Hey, Adstringendum. I've got a question.
[Rei is sitting in a chair, in Castiel's impromptu study, with a worn book in her hands. An anthology of ghost stories. And, because of simple curiosity:]
Do you believe in ghosts?
[Scientists? What scientists? Fran is going to handle that part.]
i see dead people,
studying the spirits,
field trip to see the scientists,
so not crazy,
i want to relax dammit,
shinto priestess by day,
ghost stories are super lame

[Rei didn't really ask a lot of questions of Sam and Dean of their own world. Their world sucks. Majorly.]
What kind of ghosts have you seen, then?

But um, I'm dealing with a case with one right now. The guy was murdered trying to get a Selkie pelt, and he just. stayed in the building he was murdered in. Its kind of scary how strong feelings can translate to power in spirits. I mean, the guy hadn't even been dead a week and he was possessing people and messing with the lights...
But I guess that's love for you.

[But Rei listens, for a moment or two, before looking curious.]
Emotions are strong enough to attach a ghost to a place in your world?

But yeah. Generally they have something in life that bothered them, that or something else happened, magical binding, of some sort of a strange death. But Emotions generally translate to power. And its the bad emotions that lead to the strong ghosts. Like desperation, and anger. Though, love I think is the worst. It tends to come out in different ways, and not all of them good.

[More like all the time, and that's why you're so broke, Hanna.]
But it can be a long process. Some ghosts just don't want to leave because you can't reason with them until you've finished what they started before they died.

[Hm.]
How do you put them to rest, if they don't have unfinished business? Is it a ritual?
