[Rei is sitting at the kitchen table, with a large stacks of old moderately musty books surrounding her. She has one open in front of her, fingers pressed into the corners to keep the pages from curling. Though his curiosity over the reason for the post may soon win out over the sulking.]

-- why are you pouting?
[SHE THOUGHT THEY WERE OVER THIS STAGE. :|]

Nevermind. What is this about?

I wasn't serious, stop sulking, and --
[Rei pulls her PCD towards her, to flick through the feeds, before pulling up a conversation, to show him.]
-- I talked to the Animus.

The clue about scorching and rebuilding the planet is the important thing, I believe.

Rei frowns to herself, but Cas is right.]
I wish Ami were here, she would just -- know.
[She's frustrated, but she lets it out in a huff, and closes her eyes to think.]

She's useful, for an annoying brat.
[This means Rei likes her. 8|]

[It was about the only opinion he could give fairly on her at the moment. When Rei gives him the bowl and knife he accepts them, a great deal more skillful at getting into the orange with the utensil. His nails aren't sharp enough to be much use on the fruit so it had been a losing battle before.]
However she is far too close to Lucifer.

[Rei watches him peel the orange, but her mind was elsewhere.]
Perfect fodder for Lucifer.
[Hint fucking hint. >:|]
But she's smart.
