(no subject)
i guess most of my friends are seeing against me! right now? i'm in aiken, pretty drunk, merci beaucoup à mes parents, we went to the country club and watched the football game and drank a lot of whiskey (me) / vodka (my dad) / sweet tea (my mom)? i don't know why i opted to do this; it's been a nice night, though. and not just because of the free alcohol. listening to "five years" by david bowie, and speeding past sparkling christmas lights on gervais street, was enough to make me feel great tonight. alcohol just added to that, right? one of the bartenders there went to high school with me. she is a "scene kid" now and listens to bad music and has bad tattoos. she's nice, though. my dad and i are silly and drunk. uhjkhdksajkfhks.
last night was jill's last night here. she had her last supper at jin jin. we made fart noises at colt's for a while, then went to tim and kevin's, where the consumption of whiskey and/or everclear ensued; shortly thereafter we were dancing to cheesy '90s dance songs under a strobe light, and having drunken sing-alongs to "wonderwall." towards the end of the night, i was dumbly, numbly asking people, "what an i going to do without jill?" i still don't know. i think that's why i opted to come to aiken tonight. i'm dreading being reminded that my best friend is now four hours away from me.
here's to jill: taking shots out of coffee cups, rum and rootbeer, alkaline trio/hot rod circuit/dashboard confessional sing-alongs, working on our 'zines, reality shows and countdowns, going swimming three or four times a day, smoking on the roof, bike rides on cool rainy late summer nights, thrifting, thinking jason lee is hot, dancing to "don't stop 'til you get enough," get "rocked up" at the river, the day columbia flooded, not being vegan at sonic, "SHE BLINDED ME WITH SCIENCE," et cetera, et cetera. i hope she reads this because i love her.
school continues to be great. i've learned how to do a men's haircut, and can do a haircut without having a panic attack/having an instructer watching me. i did a manicure and a men's haircut today. i also gave myself cleopatra eyes. hip-wa-zee is great as well. i got a raise aaand more hours. and a shirt with an owl on it from the 1970's.
okay well. i was hoping i'd be sober by the time i was done with this entry but i'm not. OH WELL.
