So as most of you know, two computers, three monitors, a stereo, two printers, and a wireless router are all plugged into various outlets and surge protectors nestled in this little dining room area that we made into an office. It works great!
Except for today, when the power outlets gave out. Probably should have seen that coming :|
And of course the circuit breaker is extremely vauge and nothing about the "dining room" is labeled. I've a few more things to try to get it to work.
So I ended up going to a hardware store to get a heavy duty extension cord. I wanted to make sure I wasn't getting SHASTA MCNASTY'D by the clerks, so I tried calling the two friends of mine that are engineers or consider themselves engineers. BUT ALAS! Both were busy. (lol Brendan. If I call you and your response is "who is this?" I should probably call you more often XD)
I got a 12 Gauge, 15 Amp cord. It's running from the TV alcove in the living room into my computer area - I figured that was as good a place to any to draw this amount of power from.
I'm hoping I can fix this today, since the two cords cost about $50 :x
