[his right leg is back, so he's merely playing with the branch he'd been using as a crutch now, writing a certain set of words in the sand. he'd made it to the ship, found the note... and was sorely disappointed]

It's all his fault... Do they mean the original captain? I certainly blame him for this whole bloody mess.

[Nathaniel nuzzles his cheek, purring low as if to comfort him. he looks up into the night sky, and it's hard to miss the black hole. the stars about it have disappeared, leaving a gaping maw of darkness behind]

I suppose this time, I shall stick around 'til the end.
