Office Break-in
Not the best way to start the week.
Sunday night our company office was broken into. It was a serious 'smash and run' sort of robbery. We only lost a 32" monitor, an iPod and stereo port, and some other small electronics. We were basically lucky it wasn't a whole lot worse, but I'm still pissed...
The emergency exit to the main building had been crowbarred open, and the back door to our office had been decisively kicked in. They then just unlocked the front door and walked out with whatever they could grab.
The management company says this is only the second break-in to any of their properties in the past 4-years.
Lucky us... And it was indeed only our office that got hit! 14 suites in the building, and only ours was touched. There are actually some good reasons for this, because of our location within the building, and to the parking lot, but it still sucks...
Police and insurance reports have been made, but nobody is expecting much to come from them.
