EMG Sketch Fest October 2011
Didn't have the time nor energy for much, having been scheduled for two tours this weekend (originally it had been just one, but things get changed rather frequently last minute), so I just managed one digital piece, done while the toddler was sleeping off a really (aggravatingly) bad night:
Darkness I Became
This is my first digital piece that did NOT start from a pencil sketch. I did have a screencap/still from the video already on my hard drive, and it was a matter of blocking in the shapes in Photoshop instead of working with outlines for once. Even though I started with the background colours first, the more I look at the piece now, the more I want to attempt another background. Luckily it's easy enough in Photoshop.
Will try to post more later about the past week. Right now, I've got tons of videos and photos to pore through.
