Everyone's sick with a cold/flu at the mo, with varying degrees of severity. The toddler isn't really showing it (at least, in terms of her energy), but she's coughing, and yesterday had the occasional cute raspy voice, which didn't stop her talking any. We got her in bed by 9pm, which is a rare thing. I'm past the achey bit (thank goodness), and almost normal aside from feeling like there's cotton wool in my respiratory system. Hoping to be well enough to do a tour on Friday night. It does mean missing another Portrait Day at MAAD, though nowadays it's more Portrait Night, what with it only going from 7 to 10pm.
Energy's been low; I've been working slowly on a simple-painting-that's-turning-out-complicated, and mulling over doing my own
portrait day for friends. Also commented on

Looking for Cover Artists for Hire post, and plugged my
Commissions page, which is finally how I like it, with both text and examples in short chunks.
I'd love to show the two recent covers I've painted, but have to wait for the time being. One of them has been in limbo for months and months, which is a real pity because the painting is huge and pretty. Well, both images are (says the artist). I also LIKE working big now. The results are just more well, MORE everything, even if they take longer to get there.
We have an aquarium in the apartment now, a first for us at this place and with the kid. The cheap but pretty guppies we bought on Monday to help condition the water are actually doing pretty well. We'll wait a while before getting a sucker fish and some bottom-feeders.
