Curascript, Express Scripts, Big Pharma

Months after the fact, I'm still getting comments on my entry about my ordeal with Curascript's billing people this summer. (Quick recap - Curascript fucked up, they tried to make me pay an extra $250 for their fuck-up, and on top of that, tried to hold my medication hostage for the money. They lied, they did fuzzy math, they passed me around, they've lately overcharged us again, and I'm sad to admit that I was so disheartened with the first waking nightmare that with the last two bills I told Jason to pay them off so I'd never have to hear from them ever again.)

I don't know how people are finding my old archived journal entry, but here's another one on Curascript, just so this news may help the next Curascript victim.

NY State Attorney General Eliot Spitzer's office appears to be filing a huge lawsuit against the Orlando, FL-based company. http://www.oag.state.ny.us/press/2004/aug/aug4a_04.html
(I'm guessing it's still in progress.) It appears Curascript's defrauding of customers is more the norm than the exception.

Express Scripts is the parent company of Curascipt:

The amount of money this company is making could make me sick all over again.

Alternet yesterday carried a nice introductory article to Big Tobacco, Big Pharma and Big Energy:

To all the female readers of this entry, I say: Read up on endocrine disruptors, go organic, go vegetarian, and don't ever fucking eat off plastic. You still can't stop breathing in the phthalate soup we're living in, but at least you don't have to keep on swallowing it.

curascript, lupron
