Hello all,
Sorry to have been away so long. I was captured by Facebook and held for ransom.
I didn't want to pay the ransom though, so I let myself rot in a Facebook cell. Ultimately though, I decided I had to pay it. So I did, and I'm out. (And obviously still outta my head too)
I started a Weight Watchers group at work, and have just completed the first week.
I have done WW before and did quite well at it, losing 25 pounds over a year and keeping it off the following year.
However it the two years since my back surgery, my weight has crept up again. I seem to be back to my old rate of gaining 10 pounds a year without trying. Who needs weight training? Just eat more!
So when I stepped on the scale last week I was 221.2. Nearly all the way back to my pre-WW weight of 225.
I should mention, for those who don't know me that I am 6'3", so I don't appear fat. Though I do have a small beer belly. (a Lite beer belly?)
Weight Watchers has changed its program in the past year and I now have 10 points more to eat every day than I had before. I was concerned that I wouldn't lose any weight with so many extra points to pay with.
However I am happily surprised that despite eating all my points PLUS my 35 Flex points for the week, I still lost 1.4 pounds! WooHoo! Yay me! I rock! My belly still rolls! (just a little less)
So, it would appear that I am still amused by the little things in life.
I'm happy to say hello to you all again, and happy that you are safe,
. Stay cool Downunder.
