To: All readers who have a cell phone.
Re: Your outgoing message.
Most carriers offer an option on your outgoing message. The default is that of the robot lady explaining in lengthy, pointless verbiage how to leave a voicemail for someone.
There is usually an option to TURN THAT SHIT OFF!
Someone with higher math prowess than I should parse the results, but I estimate that I lose an entire day per year listening to a robot woman telling me, "When you are finished recording, you can hang up…"
RILLY?
No shit. You stupid fucking cooze. Shut up and beep already. I've got shit to do.
"Or to leave a call-back number, press five."
Who leaves a "call-back" number in the 21st century? Isn't making the call in the first place leaving a call-back number? Four seconds, times every call that's made in this country per day equals hundreds of thousands of lost manhours listening to this useless crap.
If you own a cell phone, please, please, PLEASE go into the Options section and turn that shit off!
