quick update...

Its true, I have another sister! Her name is Margret and she's 42 years old (my dad is in late 60s by the way), she lives in California and she's going to be in Atlanta until Wednesday to attend a wedding... Over the past 9 or 10 years I have met 2 more of my sisters (Janina & Andrea) and I've always heard about another one by the name of Margret but never really tried to contact her probably because I didn't think she was real. Well yesterday my sister Janina calls me and lets me know that she got a hold of her and its about that time she(Margret) met her 23 year old brother Marques(me) and her 25 year old sister Monique. The shit is kinda unreal to me... Another sibling. Makes me wonder just how many kids my dad has. Maybe I should call and ask him huh? Janina wants me to come out to Riverdale tomorrow to meet up but I have so much work to do it may not be possible, but I'll try to get out of it tho. If it doesn't work then it will have to be Tuesday, I'm free all day long, no interruptions while I'm trying to catch up with my sister that I have never met. I have a lot of questions to ask...

So how about that hurricane? My heart goes out to those people in N.O. who lost everything and had to deal with all of the bullshit just to get basic supplies & a way out of there. This kinda hit close to home for me to because a good friend of mine had just moved to N.O. with her 2 sons and was supposed to start her final year in college the same day the storm hit... They left out early Sunday morning before the storm & found a safe haven with family in Alabama, but just like so many others in N.O., she lost everything to. My door is open to them anytime...

To everyone affected by this disaster, be strong. It may feel like the end, but its not. Grieve if you must, but when the inital pain has subsided lift your heads, pick up the pieces, and know its about forward movement now. Yes it may be hard for some, but thousands of people like myself are here to lend you a hand... May God be with you...

Peace & Love
