I have been meditating on this for the passed few weeks in order to try to get myself out the hole I dug for myself. It is a powerful realisation with the ability to change ones thinking. They only difficultly is rising above the heart daily, though I would say that the mind is just as much a culprit in in self sabotage and perceiving circumstances. One affects the other.
My favourite or most effective mantra to removing the obstacles in my path, whether they be in the mind or in real life has been the Ganesha mantra:
Om Gum Ganapatayei Namaha.
(om gum guh-nuh-puh-tuh-yei nahm-ah-ha)
"Om and salutations to the remover of obstacles for which 'Gum' is the seed."
