I had such a great time last night at Corey's! It was Caitlin's B-day and I honestly think it went really well! It seemed like she was having a wonderful time, so that is good. Let's see, who was there that really counted...Caits, of course, Corey, Jeff, Yas, Larbear, Paul, Tony, Ilana, Sarah, Danielle, Jenny from the Block, umm Papa, Dhara...I can't remember anyone else's names so that's that. We had 2 Buddhas and I personally had 4 beers. Let's just say I ate a lot of cake and was laughing A LOT. It was a great way to see everyone before going back to school.

Wow, I gotta agree with Dannie. I am conflicted about going back to school as well. I saw Ilana tonight and then went with my Mom to meet Marka and Jajie for coffee and dessert. I just love being home so much because I left that I don't want to leave. Does that make sense? I honestly can say that I'm happy I'm going back, but to me it almost just seems so surreal. As morbid as this sounds, think about it this way...school is a choice. It's a smart choice, but nontheless, it's just a choice. It's like a go-away tutoring session with lots of chances to get drunk and have sex. Sure, you make good friends, have awesome times, but again, all that is a choice. So if you put this in perspective, one can choose not to go to school and make it alright at home. Most of the older people in my family didn't go to college and are fine. Actually most of the older people I know in general didn't go to college, and if they did, it was either a trade school or a community college for a general degree. So to me, this college thing is hard to believe. I sometimes have a real hard time knowing that I go to a private school with some people that may graduate and become politicians, doctors, lawyers, or actors. I just sometimes don't see myself in that same category. I want to be an art therapist, but it's just so weird to think about the future sometimes. I mean, I was raised by a waitress and carpenter. My uncle is a roofer and my aunt worked for an insurance company. My grandparents were both in retail and my godparents consist of another waitress and a factory supervisor. Some families have ivy league schools in their blood. Don't get me wrong, everyone in my family was and is an honest worker, as are the lawyers, doctors, and so forth, but I guess this whole going and coming to school just seems, well, like one big choice. All my cousins made this choice, and so did my friends. What if we didn't? What if I chose to stay home because it's comfortable and worn-in? What if I quit what I was studying and went into something else? It's just so easy to change a mind. It's too easy to change choices...to make new and different ones. I don't know why I'm thinking so much about this, but I guess being home this very different summer and now getting ready to go back somewhere so free and unrestricted, makes me think twice about choices. Hm.

Getting a little deep up there. Whew. So I just learned that Megala isn't rooming nextdoor anymore. Can housing suck anymore? Gosh, now we have to travel alllll they way back to my old floor to visit...what nerve! Lol, no it will be awesome. Now, we can have field trips over to G-3 and hang with the girls like old times. Ah, the lounge. I miss it there. I am looking forward to seeing Stacia, Carina, Maeghan, Kerry, etc.

I wonder how people are going to react to seeing me or one another again. I was talking with Rach about this and well, I know that all of us girls are going to be retarded when we see each other because we were like that after Thanksgiving break. But I'm wondering how like Bobby, Mike and Natel will react. Will they be happy and show it? I don't know. I kinda want crazy hugs from everyone, but I doubt that will happen. Although, I'm not as excited about going back as I'd like to be tonight, I am ready to see the campus again, go out to eat, see the Pi, see everyone's new rooms, and decorate my own.
Dentist at 11:30am. Oy.
Peace.
