Fortune cookies and shoes
My random purchase of fortune cookies has been vindicated;
‘Never use a hatchet to remove a fly from the forehead of a friend’.
Wiser words have never been spoken.
I realised today that I am more or less happy to spend over $100 on footwear, but would hesitate to spend that much on a book. This is odd because I had assumed that the finding, purchasing and owning of books was part of the reason for my gainful employment.
From whence came this odd change in priorities?
It has to be said, though, that they are the awesomest shoes since Mrs Homo Erectus got sick of all those bloody burrs getting between her toes all the time.
