Gallivanting good time...
I don't think you'll get anything out of this. Sometimes my happiness comes out in metaphors and lucid reveries and sometimes it's just plain Swa speak. Not even Swa speak as I've been told my mindless talking and ways of thinking are just too hard to decipher. The funny thing is that some of the people who think that, are the people who probably understand me better than most.

So I get paid every Friday and money has been super tight. By super tight I mean being in the hospital for a week has sucked me dry coupled with my outrageous insurance payments raping me... and student loans of course ew.
My healthy eating habits are starting to go out the window and being replaced with "whatever I can afford." Obviously not the best food. My friends have been helping me out. J makes sure I never go hungry... "I've got to feed the little Swa bird!" And it's also helped that since his car was in the shop all last week I drove him to and from work so I don't feel quite as bad having him take me out to dinner and lunch a few times last week.
We like investigating new restaurants in the Los Feliz/Silver Lake neighborhood. For those who have never been... they have some of the best local places. Places that you only know about being a local. I took him out for lunch at a place called The Kitchen in Silver Lake. Awesome is all I have to say. Of course what I thought was just going to be a "thank you for being an awesome friend to me and looking out for me so much kind of lunch" turned into another weekend adventure.
Watched a pool movie. Yes, of course we watched Poolhall Junkies.
Took the train to Hollywood. The LA subway is way cleaner and nicer than Chicago's fyi. Hollyweird, didn't disappoint on the the weirdness. After walking around bar stop number 1 included a goth dude with a small bunny on a leash at the bar. I mean seriously, girls did flock to pet the bunny. Way to go dude. Drinks out and the movie from earlier meant pool was on J's mind.
Made our way to a place where we, yes we, ran the only pool table in this large bar for a few hours. If you win, you don't have to pay for games. I'm getting better and since I was the only girl playing and winning with J amongst a bunch of dudes, we were grabbing attention. I even got cheers from the crowd after sinking a hard bank shot and had several beaten opponents come up to me after the games shaking my hand and saying they really underestimated me. You're gosh darn right! I've got a great teacher.
Too bad J was super off his game and not playing well or we could have literally been there all night having fun. Oh well, still played til midnight and managed to catch the train home. J really needs to go to Chicago and ride the train. I mean I'm glad he's protective of me and will make sure that no other guy will come near me on the train platform, but I can still take care of myself; I know how to walk around a city. Thanks for looking out for me though.
"What are you doing? You can sit down."
"No little Swa, I have to protect you."
It's almost kind of funny. I'm sure we'll be back soon to Dillon's Hwood to rule the table again.
Today Maria and Molly took us kiddos out to an awesome buffet. Crab legs, shrimp, squid, octopus, sushi, awesome pineapple... yeah great. Thanks for lunch! Next time we hit a buffet we've agreed to wear matching workout gear and work out some sort of synchronized divide and conquer routine in maneuvering through the buffet isles. We'll call it the buffet flash mob... of 4.
So what's next on the agenda? The new girl hired to take over reception I'm training next week. I'm movin on up!
Planning on seeing a friend's last dance performance in Santa Monica Tuesday.
It's still chilly in LA, I hope it warms up soon.
Hopefully I'll have another good adventure next weekend. I'm glad good weekends are becoming the norm.
Dudeeeeeeee.... Sweeeeeet..
J, me, Maria at the soccer game. Taken by Maria's mom.
